Position Overview:

Music Nepal is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Video Editor, starting position. As a Video Editor, you’ll play a pivotal role in capturing the essence of our music label through engaging visual storytelling. Responsibilities:

• Edit behind-the-scenes footage, artist interviews, and promotional videos to engage our audience and showcase the essence of Music Nepal.
• Use your creative skills to tell compelling stories and enhance the visual appeal of our content, translating musical concepts into captivating visuals.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
• Stay updated on digital trends and editing techniques to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our video content.
• Maintain organized file management and adhere to company standards for video production and editing processes.
• Help create engaging social media content from our artists, including video edits, lyric videos, and behind-the-scenes footage.
• Assist with live music events, including filming and photography.
• Research and learn about new audio-visual trends and technologies.
• Support the marketing team with any audio-visual needs.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, working effectively within a team environment.

~Qualifications~

Required Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor (must submit work completed in application).
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages. Proficiency in at least one or two of the following is required: Avid Media Composer, Edius, Lightroom, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Lightworks, Final Cut Pro, After Effects.

Thorough knowledge of timing, pacing, and continuity in video editing.

• Creative mind and strong storytelling skills to translate musical concepts into compelling visuals.
• Understanding of digital trends and editing principles.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, Cinematography, or a related field (not mandatory)
• Nepali language skills are a plus.
